Mountain
Valor Fest
2026
What to Expect
A full day for
veterans and families.
Mountain Valor Fest brings together federal, state, and local resources at no cost to participants. Come out, bring your family, and spend the day with your community.
Patriot Day Ceremony
Honor those lost on September 11 and through the subsequent wars, with a formal remembrance ceremony, flag retirement, and aerial demonstration. Begins at 5:30 PM.
Resources On-Site
Connect directly with VA outreach teams, state and local resources, and organizations ready to help veterans and their families navigate available benefits.
Live Music
Two bands leading up to the 5:30 PM Patriot Day Ceremony.
Dr. Phil's Kimo Therapy
Rooted deep in Appalachian soil, blending the raw edge of punk, the swagger of rockabilly, and the soul of the blues.
Glam'r Kiti
The nation's premier 80s rock tribute. Big hits, bigger sound — with a history of sharing the stage with Sebastian Bach, Bullet Boys, Dokken, Warrant, and Appetite for Destruction.
Food Trucks
Local food trucks on site all day. Picnic blankets are welcome.
Kids Zone
Bounce house, games, temporary tattoos, free books, and a dedicated safe play area for younger children — sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Military Displays
Military vehicles and equipment from past to present, plus static displays for the whole family to explore.
Veteran Story Booth
A dedicated space to record and preserve the stories of those who served. These stories deserve to be heard.
Respite Area
An intentional quiet zone for veterans who need a break from the noise and activity. Sponsored by Carter Bank. Veterans managing PTSD, TBI, or sensory sensitivities deserve a space to step back and recharge — and still be part of the day.
Festival Supporter Pass
For $25, supporters receive a commemorative festival coin and a reserved chair for the Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony. A simple way to show up for the mission.
Why We Do This
Honor. Connect. Strengthen.
Mountain Valor Fest exists to honor those who served, connect veterans and families with the resources they've earned, and strengthen the bonds between rural communities and the ideals of military service.
Free for everyone. No registration required. Just show up.
Our Sponsors
Made possible by
people who get it.
Sponsors cover the cost of emergency support, insurance, bands, marketing, facility rental, portapotties, signage, safety equipment, kid activities, and the Remembrance Ceremony. Without them, this event does not happen.
Thank You, BAE Systems
Mountain Valor Veteran Services proudly thanks BAE Systems for their unwavering support as our Primary Sponsor for the third consecutive year. Their continued investment in our mission directly empowers veterans and their families across rural Virginia, helping us provide life-changing resources, outreach events, and one-on-one support.
