Accessibility

Mountain Valor is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.

Our Commitment

Mountain Valor Veteran Services is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all visitors, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice navigation, or keyboard-only navigation. We believe that every veteran, caregiver, and community member deserves equal access to the information and resources on this site.

What We've Done

We have built this website with accessibility in mind, including:

  • Descriptive alt text on images throughout the site
  • Keyboard navigation support across all pages
  • Skip-to-content links at the top of each page
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Properly labeled form fields and interactive elements
  • Semantic HTML structure with appropriate headings and landmarks
  • Support for reduced motion preferences

Known Limitations

While we work to meet accessibility standards, some areas of our site may not yet be fully accessible. Third-party content — including embedded donation forms, videos, and external tools — is provided by outside services and may not fully conform to accessibility guidelines. We are not able to control the accessibility of third-party platforms, but we encourage those providers to improve their own accessibility practices.

Standards We Aim to Meet

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which are the widely accepted standards for web accessibility. These guidelines cover a range of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
